Vision, purpose, and principles

The vision of the Institute is to promote and disseminate African consciousness based on scientific knowledge developed by Africans from an African perspective.

The objectives of the Institute are the following:
to develop knowledge and understanding of the continent by promoting world-class research on African studies ;
to encourage and encourage better-informed decision-making on matters concerning Africa;
to provide young Africans with the tools, available knowledge, and information essential to understanding the continent.
to be a forum for discussion that can foster and develop an understanding of diverse situations concerning Africa ;
to support and promote research and the publication of research on Africa ;
make intellectual resources and recommendations available to decision-makers;
to provide high quality, targeted education and training programs for the general public and professionals;
to create a virtual library on many areas of expertise;
to create a library of historical archives on the African continent in the various fields of expertise.
